We've wanted to buy a car for quite a while now but we've never had enough guts or money to do it. I have to drive downtown everyday for the next three months and our car hasn't been the most reliable so we decided to seriously start to shop. After much resarch we decided to look for a Honda Pilot, so we started checking dealerships and test driving cars in our budget. A few test drives and a pushy salesman later we found a Pilot in Milwaukee that fit our criteria. We made the hour journey to only find that the asking price quoted to us on the phone and the sticker price was $8,000 different. The salesman told us the price quoted was a mistake. So after nearly an hour the manager agreed to give us the price quoted on the phone. So we made the purchase. We feel like we got a steal. We were even able to meet the previous owner, a little old lady who would only drive the car a few blocks every day and "babied the car", in her words. The car is a silver 2006 Honda Pilot EX with 31,000 miles and seats 8. Krista's favorite part is the keyless starter. We love it and we feel pretty lucky to have found it.

I got my steal on a Honda Pilot a little over a year ago and I love it. The keyless remote starter would be great...but alas it is still a wonderful car!! BTW the 2006 is a great model with all of the safety features-surround airbags!!
The miss quote sounds like something that would happen to us, stupid car salesmen. Way to stick to your guns.
We had so many pushy salesmen when we were searching for our van. So many of them tried to convince us to get something other than the van we wanted (one salesmen tried to convince us to get a Pilot), and another got us to agree on a minivan price before tacking on a few thousand in fees, so we walked away. In the end, we met one SUPER nice salesmen and we were thrilled with our purchase. We learned a lot through the experiences, though. I'm so glad that you feel good about your new car. It looks cool!
By the way, I love these family pictures with the car, and the one of Andee on the hood!
I LOVE our Pilot, I'm so excited for you!! It's fun to have the extra room, too.
Yay! Good choice. and now you have a nice roomy car to travel to Oregon with ;) Oh' and Adam, Jay really did make that "no hair in other places" comment. Do you know Jay at all??? Of course he did. Haha! Hope Krista is getting used to the new sounds coming from downunder. Miss you guys, Heather
